Quotes from one year ago:

Yesterday we learned that our principal and vice principal are both leaving after this school year.

Now to regroup, decide what this all means for my work habits in the next month and a half, and move forward. Seems we do this far too often in this place.
Ferry, chat with colleagues, school, meeting, work, kids, meeting, work, kids, and if I'm lucky, a nap from 3-5. There endeth the missive.
No, you can't misbehave on purpose and be sent home because you just want to spend time with your dad.

My young person then went back to class to apologize to the adults he had yelled at. We made a plan for him to ask his teacher to help him talk to Melanie so that he could tell her he needed an apology. I think when the incident first occured he was too angry to hear the apology that I'm sure she gave him.

Makes you want to, oh, I don't know, kick the parents for having kids they couldn't nurture, yell at the top of your lungs that life shouldn't be so hard when you're 8 years old, go get drunk and forget, entertain fantasies of working as a bartender so you only have to deal with adult dysfunction. Until the barflies start talking about how their kid got in trouble at school today...
My duty will be done when we've gotten him healthy enough to fly. Well, I may go to his place and make sure his kids get the things he intends that they have. Of course the kids are quite worried about him, but overall his friends and family are relieved that he has finally gotten to a hospital where he can't hide out from getting help.

I'm knackered, as the Kiwis say. Off to bed. Call me when they canonize me. Until then I'm asleep.
There is a church across the street from my school. This week, the readerboard says, "Only Jesus can erase your sins." As LMT and I were driving by the other day, I said, "yes, but only gin can erase the emotions I'm having today" or something like that.

It was funny at the time.
Comment: This year is so much easier than last year. Huzzah! for where I am today.
