Miss H the Second and I hiked up the Duckabush Trail on Saturday, after finding out that the road to the hike we originally picked was up a road that had washed out 5 years ago.

Plan B.

We hiked a while, had lunch, and hiked back. It's a good hike, but we decided to stop at the place where the 1000-foot elevation gain began. We had already gained and lost about 300 feet (this is a guess), and 1000 more seemed, well, unnecessary.

It was a hot day, the weather broke just as we began hiking. Our hike was somewhat complicated by our need to talk about everything under the sun. It was a good day, ending as it did at Farelli's Pizza. Yum.
