. . . I turn 41.
Last year it was an all-out b-day BBQ extravaganza; this year just a day here and there spent with a few close friends.
Forty was a psychological breakthrough, a transformation, an embracing of full adulthood. Forty-one feels like another comfortable jaunt into the world; a new exploration, but safe and warm and green and mossy and mundane.
