So here I am on the ferry, learning to type one- fingered into my iphone. It's test day in Massage Theory, which means a final about hydrotherapy (spell and define "thixotropy"), sites of caution, pregnancy massage, and some other things I can't bring to mind while typing and listening to This American Life.

I've been swimming and doing the elliptical trainer at least four days a week. Random emails of encouragement would be appreciated. :-)

The second of four terms will be over by the end of next week. Tempus fugit and all that. During my break, I will go to my parents' place and deal with DPOA paperwork. My mom will enjoy me cooking for her and making her lattes. My dad will want me to watch Buster Keaton movies (I bought them at Costco for him). My brother will want me to come next door and see his latest airbrushed motorcycle helmet or gas tank. The helmet with the hairy cartoon man bent over and showing his behind and fruit basket is quite a lovely example of my brother's formidable artistic talents.

The only real project I have lined up for the break, subject to landlady approval and cooperation, is to clean up the yard in front of the apartments. I will do it for free if she will agree to haul the stuff to the dump. Understand that once before I cleaned up around the trash area and she wouldn't take the stuff. She insisted that the tenants who left the stuff should pick it up. Wish me luck. Rumor has it she likes me. (As opposed to how she feels about her other tenants, I wonder?)
