Viva my mountain

Snowshoe number three was short and very sweet. We, that is Mel, Lynn C. and I, went to the park entrance of Mt. Rainier on Highway 410. At the weathered log arch with the hand-carved sign, we donned our snowshoes. Walking along, we saw the tracks of yesterday's snowmobilers and this morning's lone elk.

Borrowed gear rocks. Borrowed gear sucks. I had borrowed snowshoes that were way too wide for me. It didn't matter because I enjoyed myself. However, I know what style of gear I *don't* want.

On the trail by 8:40, off at 11:30. Back to town by 1:00. I'm enjoying a rockfish taco, house salad, and G&T at Anthony's. I have a splendid view of the mountain I was on earlier.

Viva me, viva my mountain, viva everything!
