What a lovely day, I thought, to stop by the Ram Pub on the way home. The day was actually a typical NorthWet day, soggy and gray, and not at all lovely, except for some email I received from an old lover and friend.

So, on a whim, I pulled into the Ram, and plopped myself down at a four-top in the almost deserted bar. I had a pint of amber and the world's most microscopic bowl of steak fries. Srsly, there were about 15 fries in the bowl, none over three inches long. Call me a size queen, but in no way was that a portion of steak fries. The potion cup of tartar sauce outweighed the fries.

Anyhoo, I got to drinkin', eatin', and readin' my textbook. About ten minutes later, I started feeling much better than a girl should feel at three in the afternoon. Yup; half a pint of amber, and I was already feelin' it. I'm an embarrassingly cheap date.

Viva la vie boheme, for as long as I can stay awake.
