Work-Arounds, Including new Blogacin!

The whole picture thing on the postings. Many times, people tell me that they can't see pictures I post on my blog, even if they have been able to before. Work around: I will now post both the embedded pic and a direct link to my album. That way, even if the picture doesn't show up on the screen for some arcane, reported and previously-apparently-solved reason, people can see the fine visual depictions I provide.

The toilet upstairs. I have a tiny upstairs water closet with a tiny, corner toilet that unfortunately runs just slightly no matter what I try. This is the toilet that ran our water holding tank dry. The tank that serves 24 households. The tank that takes 24 hours to refill from its artesian source. Work arounds: use the "if it's yellow, let it mellow" approach and flush only after every third or fourth pee; turn the valve off at the wall unless flushing, then turn on, flush, turn off.

My back. Low back/glute/hip pain, constant. Work arounds: Ice. Stretching. Bolstering. More ice. Ibuprofen all day. Methocarbomal at night. Stress/pain eating. Posture. Earth Shoes (coming soon to a blog near you). Acupuncture next week. Submit, bastard L4/L5!

Doe Bay ETA. The Washington State Department of Health has a new computer system, and won't promise to have licenses out within their published eight-week turn-around time. This means that I can't commit to working Memorial Day weekend, when I would have made beaucoup tips. Work around: I told Doe Bay I couldn't come until June 1st, and they are cool with it. In fact, June 1st is when Dreambox becomes available. That's the almost-treehouse cabin of my dreams.

Up in the middle of the night. Pain got you up? Try Blogacin![tm] Blogacin encourages further insomnia by bombarding your pupils with computer-screen light, confusing your pineal gland and tricking your body into thinking it's almost dawn. No chance of falling back to sleep with Blogacin, but look at it this way: the blogging associated with Blogacin might just help someone ELSE get some sleep.
