It Ain't For Sissies

Thank you to Aitch and Reenie for the lovely and poetic comments to my last post! I must say that I'm sore this morning, but it's more headache than other-ache. After so many hours talking to no one, I came back and the squirrels had a heyday. I had lively conversation with Tessa and her parents, then did some blogging, and finally slept at almost 2am. My head is killing me. Going to sleep after 10pm isn't for sissies, either!

Oddly, my back pain is better when I'm moving. Yes, Reenie, it's probably from an accident; I had a slip-and-fall in 1994, when I was a mere 28 years old, and my low back has never been the same. That was the first time I stood up from bending at the waist and felt that stabbling low-back pain that we all know is the hallmark of many fun days to come! It came and went since then, mostly went, until I had my car accident two summers ago. Combine bilateral knee impact and the subsequent hip displacement that likely occurred with the rigors of massage school, and boy howdy, you've got your recipe for chronic low-back pain.

I'll feel better after I've eaten my breakfast (the famous Doe Bay biscuits with vegetarian mushroom gravy) and had my fresh OJ. And taken 600mg of ibuprofen.

Then we're floating the lake! Someone find Samantha and have her wiggle her nose at my pain. I need to go have another day off.
