1. Who was your first love?
Captain James Tiberius Kirk. I kid you not.

2. Who was your first kiss and when?
Well, there was one that I don't count because I didn't want it from that guy. So the one I count was in 8th grade, from Todd (Haigh) Bramy, in front of the Maplewood Presbyterian Church in Edmonds. I remember how soft his lips were, there was no awkward roughness, no hesitation from either of us. I have met few other kissers with such delicacy, passion and abandon.

3. Who was your first prom date?
Myself, in junior high. Then I took Bruce Carey, a junior, to Senior Prom. But we left early because it was lame.

4. Who was your first room mate?
Maria. We planned when we were 15 to move out together after high school. It wasn't a great experiment, but we sure learned a lot.

5. What was your first job?
Snack-bar girl (yes, they called it that) at the Lynnwood Roll-A-Way skating rink. Free junk food, and free skating! Woo! I was a champ as shoot the duck.

6. What was your first car?
The first car I drove was my parents' 1962 Chevy Impala. The first car I owned was a 1980 VW Rabbit.

7. When did you go to your first funeral?
I think it must have been one of my great uncles. I can't remember.

8. (missing, so I made this up:) What was the first big decision you made?
maybe to steal my parents' car and go joyriding.

9. How old were you when you first moved away from your hometown?
um, I think 23.

10. Who was your first grade teacher?
Mrs. Shadduck.

11. Where did you go on your first ride on an airplane?
NYC and Jersey City, when I was two.

12. (missing, so:) What was the first TV show or movie you remember?
Um, Sesame Street, Star Trek, the moon shots, and Watergate.

13. Where did you go for your first date and who was it with?
I wasn't really clear what constituted a date, so I can't say. I went to an Edmonton Oilers game with my cousin's boss's son once, in 1985.

14. When you snuck out of your house for the first time, who was it with?
Dayna, Greg, and Mark. We went to the Fun Forest, drank beer and rode the roller coaster.

15. Who was your first best friend and are you still friends with them?
Tracy. And no. She turned on me when she started hanging out with the socie girls in junior high. Bummer.

16. Who was the first person to send you flowers?
No idea. I don't recall.

17. Where did you live the first time you moved out of your parents house?
An apartment in Edmonds on Fifth Avenue.

18. Who is the first person you call when you have a bad day?
Glen or my mom.

19. Whose wedding were you in the first time you were a bridesmaid or a groomsman?
I was flower girl for my babysitter when I was 5 years old.

20. What is the first thing you do in the morning? Pee. I'm old.
