Bike is fixed. Came in a little below the estimate, but $287.65 might as well be $300. I just paid it. Cash. It’s done that way, and not lingering on an already overburdened credit card. Rides niiiiiice. More compliments on the paint job from a ferry worker; I gave him my brother’s business card. We have got to get that boy a portfolio and a website. And a UBI number, and a business license, and, and, and.

Tomorrow I have five 90-minute massages. Yes, seven-and-a-half hours of massage from 10am to 7pm. I will be one tired little puppy. The other massage therapist has a similar schedule. All of a sudden, in the middle of the week, we’re slammed. WTF? Not complaining, just wondering where the people suddenly came from.

I just thought of Swami Havnagudtime Vishnuverhere, a character played by Tim Kazurinsky on SNL a long time ago. Havin’ a good time. Wishin’ you were here. Wishin’ You Were Here, by Chicago. The Weather is Here, I Wish You Were Beautiful, by Jimmy Buffett.

And you can count on me to share the load.
And I will always help you
Hold your burdens.
And I will be the one
To help you ease your pain.
lean on me, I am your sister.
Lean on me, I am your friend.

I should look into going to the doctor on the island up here, or perhaps getting to see my docs. I need something for my back pain at night. During the day I’m good to go, as long as I don’t sit down or slouch for too long. It’s just when I sleep that I’m in spasm induced by, apparently, allegedly, nerve irritation due to lumbar spinal impingement. I’m gonna have to see a specialist. It’s referral time! Woo hoo!

I have found the secret to using a laptop on my lap without it slipping: leather motorcycle pants. Try them, you’ll like them. And not just because your laptop stays put.

When my baby cooks her eggplant
She don’t read no book;
She’s got a Giaconda kind of dirty look
And my baby cooks her eggplant
‘bout 19 different ways
Sometimes I just have it raw with mayonnaise

I’ve decided to sing at the open mike here on Thursday. I have several songs I’d consider doing, but as I enjoy covering my nervousness with humor, I think I’ll do I Spent My Last Ten Dollars on Birth Control and Beer by Two Nice Girls. Totally funny. I also have a poignant song (Goodbye Love by Manhattan Transfer) and a joyful song (Mishaela by Noa) and some silly songs (various Uncle Bonsai tunes). Once I’ve worked up some more, I’d like to do After Your Orgasm or Barbie or Boob Job by David Wilcox. All sweet.

Oh yeah, and I’m taking requests – from y’all, not from the open mike audience.
