I've got a ton to do, but as anyone who knows me will tell you, I can git 'r done.

Utilities need to be switched. I have to acquire boxes (anyone want to go Starbucks Dumpster diving?). I have to box everything up. I have to get the keys and haul shit around and try to be kind to my back.

My mom has already lined up two nice boys from her congregation to unload the truck. My brother and one of his friends will come to the island to load it up; I didn't even ask without offering money. Everyone wins, trust me.

As a business transaction, I will make one more appeal to the new landlady to let me bring the cats. I am prepared to offer a non-refundable pet deposit of up to $400. This is not coercion, I will clearly say; it is a business transaction. $400 is way more than the current carpet is worth. Srsly.

And now, because it's late, and I was up late yesterday, and I spent most of this day in bed (not sleeping, wink) or driving, I'm outtie. Sweet dreams.
