Today I walked all around the French Quarter looking for a set of zils. These are the finger cymbals that belly dancers use. On Sunday Miss Teen's belly dancing studio is having a workshop on zilling and I wanted to find some for her to use. No luck.

I did however see paparazzi hanging out in front of Brad and Angelina's new home in the French Quarter. At one point I really wanted to stomp on one photographer's backpack with his cameras and long range lenses...but I restrained myself. It wasn't worth being arrested. But, what gives? Why bother people who are trying to live their lives, raise their kids, etc etc. I felt sorry for them as I imagined the logistics of trying to go out and pick up your kids from school with nosy photographers and tourists hanging around outside your door. Arrgh.

We have a crazy busy weekend coming up. Miss Teen wants to go to the movies with friends, son has a horse show, piano lessons on Saturday, belly dancing on Sunday, I have a church finance committee meeting on Saturday morning (yuck), and as always, the yard is calling out to me. Thankfully, the weather is beautiful.
