SIX WORD STORIES

Ernest Hemingway is said to have written a six-word story and called it his best work: "For sale: baby shoes. Never used." SJ Rozan invites writers to submit six word crime stories here. To submit: Send your story to: SIXWORDSTORY@AOL.COM. Include your name and, if you want, your url. We won't post email addresses. Stories SJ finds appealing for whatever idiosyncratic reason will be posted here. Send titles if you like, but we here at Six Word Story HQ like that part and will probably title them ourselves. Maybe there'll be a prize beyond the wonder of seeing your story in electronic print; maybe not. We'll think about it. Meanwhile, we're waiting...

The Return of Six Word Stories!

The Six Word Story contest is back!

As before, we're looking for six-word crime stories.

A, and, the, of, etc. all count as words.

Those six words must be about crime: implied, considered, remembered, or committed.

How to submit: email SixWordStory@AOL.com

If our panel of distinguished judges (well, I can distinguish them from each other) likes an entry, it'll be published, along with the writer's name and url. So make sure to send your name and url when you enter. There may or may not be other cool prizes, as our panel cleans out their closets. If you don't see your entry within a few days of when you sent it, that means nothing; our incredible vast bureaucracy may be saving it for some future date based on a recondite rationale even we don't understand. So keep looking.

Good luck!
