me in the piazza

I'm a writer, publishing both as SJ Rozan and, with Carlos Dews, as Sam Cabot. (I'm Sam, he's Cabot.) Here you can find links to my almost-daily blog posts, including the Saturday haiku I've been doing for years. BUT the blog itself has moved to my website. If you go on over there you can subscribe and you'll never miss a post. (Miss a post! A scary thought!) Also, I'll be teaching a writing workshop in Italy this summer -- come join us!

Garden Haiku IV

Can't believed I haven't blogged in ten days. Don't have all that much to say but will say it over the weekend. Meanwhile, more of these, for those of you who can stand it:

Rustling leaves, birds chirp,
All else quiet until next door
Child throws a tantrum.

First crisp morning air.
Geese slice sky in practice V's.
Lilies almost gone.

Plant, prune, stake, feed, weed.
But I wonder: gardening?
Or interfering?

Geese argue with crows.
Honk versus caw: big racket.
Seagulls mediate.

Last night, sweeping storm.
By dawn, only fog; but now
Rain in my teacup.
