me in the piazza

I'm a writer, publishing both as SJ Rozan and, with Carlos Dews, as Sam Cabot. (I'm Sam, he's Cabot.) Here you can find links to my almost-daily blog posts, including the Saturday haiku I've been doing for years. BUT the blog itself has moved to my website. If you go on over there you can subscribe and you'll never miss a post. (Miss a post! A scary thought!) Also, I'll be teaching a writing workshop in Italy this summer -- come join us!

Writing workshop

Wanted to remind you that if you're interested in my August writing workshop in Assisi, this would be the time to sign up. It's billed as "crime writing," but as far as I'm concerned that's a broad field. If you're working on HAMLET, MOTHERLESS BROOKLYN, REBECCA -- or, REBECCA OF SUNNYBROOK FARM ROBS A BANK -- they'd all fit in beautifully. Yes, I know it sounds expensive, the dollar being what it is against the Euro. But for your dough, you get two weeks in a really nice hotel with amazing views, breakfast and dinner every day, the company of other writers and artists, and ten intensive workshop sessions with moi. In, for Pete's sake, Assisi! Do come.

(And PS -- there are ways and ways to get grants, etc. Not directly from AWI, but check out their helpful hints page.)
