me in the piazza

I'm a writer, publishing both as SJ Rozan and, with Carlos Dews, as Sam Cabot. (I'm Sam, he's Cabot.) Here you can find links to my almost-daily blog posts, including the Saturday haiku I've been doing for years. BUT the blog itself has moved to my website. If you go on over there you can subscribe and you'll never miss a post. (Miss a post! A scary thought!) Also, I'll be teaching a writing workshop in Italy this summer -- come join us!

Another upcoming event

If you love writing, and especially crime writing (as I somehow suspect many of you do) and you're anywhere near NYC, you'll want to make this one. I'm moderating a panel at the PEN World Voices Festival, which is itself something you'll want to check out. My panel's "Mean Streets" on Friday, May 2, 5pm, at Scandinavia House, Park and 37th. I'll be talking with four terrific writers -- three Europeans and a Latin American -- about their books, writing, translation, crime, and everything else I can think of. I'm knocked out by the quality of these books. This should be a great event.
