me in the piazza

I'm a writer, publishing both as SJ Rozan and, with Carlos Dews, as Sam Cabot. (I'm Sam, he's Cabot.) Here you can find links to my almost-daily blog posts, including the Saturday haiku I've been doing for years. BUT the blog itself has moved to my website. If you go on over there you can subscribe and you'll never miss a post. (Miss a post! A scary thought!) Also, I'll be teaching a writing workshop in Italy this summer -- come join us!

One of those days

Ever have one? I'm unbelievably cranky, po'd, irritated. The weather's gray and cold, I'm sick, the people in my book are all sitting down in the middle of the floor refusing go on, and some damn ^%&#$*! hacked my credit card so I have to write all kinds of stupid letters to stop payment on all the damn fool things they bought. Actually I have no idea what they bought except they ran up close to $500 of the $2000 bill at grocery stores. Pitiful, huh? I'm trying to feel bad for them but I'm too mad. But even though I'm pissed and cranky I have to give Chase props for responding quickly and with no argument.

So I've been doing the only thing that makes sense under the circumstances. Errands. Paperwork. Buying new lightbulbs. (Make you happy, Tom S.?) All kinds of stuff you can do that involves slamming things around. And later, the gym. Though I sprained a muscle in my arm, so I'm po'd about that, too!
