me in the piazza

I'm a writer, publishing both as SJ Rozan and, with Carlos Dews, as Sam Cabot. (I'm Sam, he's Cabot.) Here you can find links to my almost-daily blog posts, including the Saturday haiku I've been doing for years. BUT the blog itself has moved to my website. If you go on over there you can subscribe and you'll never miss a post. (Miss a post! A scary thought!) Also, I'll be teaching a writing workshop in Italy this summer -- come join us!

Come to Assisi!

By which, of course, I mean my writing workshop.

Assisi: Countryside house

And if you're coming -- and you are *all* coming, right? -- do me a favor: register sometime in the next two weeks.

Assisi: Breakfast

Why? Because I'm going to Mongolia at the end of June, and I'd love to know who's coming to Assisi and have had a little back-and-forth with you all (Southern: all y'all; Bronx: alla youse) before I leave.

Assisi: Sunny day

Then, out on the endless steppe, I can be thinking about how to work with the material you're bringing

Assisi: Rainy day

and how to get you moving along the path to a finished (and no doubt fabulous) work. Come to Assisi!
