me in the piazza

I'm a writer, publishing both as SJ Rozan and, with Carlos Dews, as Sam Cabot. (I'm Sam, he's Cabot.) Here you can find links to my almost-daily blog posts, including the Saturday haiku I've been doing for years. BUT the blog itself has moved to my website. If you go on over there you can subscribe and you'll never miss a post. (Miss a post! A scary thought!) Also, I'll be teaching a writing workshop in Italy this summer -- come join us!

Curl up and read

Pounding rain here in NYC, plump drops plonking absolutely vertically into the river. Thunder, lightning, black clouds skimming fast under gray, thick, still ones. A great day to stay inside with a book, or -- I know! a novella! A TALE ABOUT A TIGER, the first and so far the only, novella I've ever written, is now available for your Kindle for a mere ninety-nine cents. That's pretty mere for a 15,000 word novella, youse guys.

And though I hate to compete with myself, I so admire the work Crippen & Landru Publishers have been doing giving homes in books to short stories that would otherwise have vanished into the uncollected mist that I'm also going to point out that youse can get this story and a number of others in a volume of my short stories C&L did a few years ago. Even if you're happy picking up my short stories (and my first four novels, don't forget them!) for your Kindle, you might want to check C&L's list and see which of your favorite writers they've collected for you.
