(Mom gave me her entry in person, this time, written in pencil on pages ripped out of her notebook. I had every intention of posting it last night, so as to keep with the holidailies theme, but my internet was down when I got home. Oh Well.)

Another day at the Rehab unit. My morning was taken up with 3 hours of PT and OT. OT is weird! There was a big, chest-high table, and the therapist spread about a zillion little plastic disks on it. I had to go around and pick them up, using my crutches to manuever. Another exercise was to stand there, crutchless, and move various strange shapes from one side of a box to another. As I said--weird. Next I asked the therapist for advice on the best method of picking "tootsie rolls" out of cat litter. After all, the therapist needs to be sure that I can do daily living tasks without breaking the "hip rules". (The method for tootsie rolls, i.e. cat poops, is to use a doggie pooper scooper, or to pay your cat sitter for another week.)

Worked on stairs with the PT and found that I feel much more secure with "down" than before. And, she was able to make some suggestions about strengthening the crutch leg.

Both kids came by this evening for various reasons and it was nice visiting.

Did I mention I have a new step-grandchild? YD is now a "grandmother" four times over.
