I spent today at home. I slept more than a bit late (I had a restless night at first), waking up finally right at the end of the morning show. So I missed the local music they always have. (It's pretty neat to have jazz at 8 AM.)

However, I got sort of up to date on bookkeeping [do you know any other English words that have three consecutive double letters?] and more or less balanced checkbooks. I still haven't found the source of what I think is an unnoted deposit in one account. Well, an unknown deposit is far better than an unentered expenditure.

I was on the front porch, cleaning the clumps from the cat box, when Lady bounced out there. She took one look at me and turned into BadCat as she made a flying leap over me to two-thirds of the way up the screen door, then quickly picked her way through a labyrinth of screen patches and jumped down in the "free" world. I haven't noticed any increase in flying insects with the labyrinth there. Before the patches built up I could tell when she had torn through by the mosquitos flying around inside. (And not just flying around, but feasting on human blood--usually in the middle of the night.)

Since today was definitely an IUD, that's about it.
