I have two Saturdays this week. I worked what I like to think of as a "normal" week--Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. That gives me a three-day weekend, and today feels like Saturday. And I get another Saturday tomorrow.

My list for today was topped with "get car inspected." So I went out about 1PM, headed to the place that passes for an inspection station--and found a line of six cars. This place is run by one guy, so lines don't move very quickly, even though the inspection is perfunctory at best. I decided I'd put that off till (probably) Tuesday. There's no fine for being late, unless you get stopped by the cops. I'll go down there nice and early Tuesday. And while I'm there I'll find out if he'll replace dead lights if there are any. It's really hard to check these things by yourself, and the Jimmy (which was last inspected in 2005 and is next on my to-do list) may very well have some.

Lunch at Arby's, and I started reading the Analog that came yesterday. First thing I read was the science article about global warming and climate cycles. On my list for this evening is ordering a book that the author cited. Extremely interesting article.

Next stop was PJ's, where (according to my "rules") I continued reading a geek book about women in the ancient world.

And tomorrow it's Saturday again!
