Journalscape was down earlier in the evening, which meant I had to postpone reading several "daily read" journals, not to mention postponing my own deathless prose.

I got maybe a third of what I had hoped to do done. What's the saying--"Don't make vast plans with half-vast ideas"? Maybe I should change that to "half-vast motivation."

However, I DID get caught up on the bookkeeping--a good thing since next month comes early when it's February. I didn't make it to the oil change/car wash, or the pedicure place. Maybe Wednesday.

I also ran into the vet at the coffee shop and asked him about surgery. He no longer does it--the office where he formerly did it was in New Orleans East. (Translation: it got badly flooded.) He suggested the Humane Society--which was my thought also. He agreed that Leo needed an "operation" whether he had a home or not.

As usual, reading at PJ's took up some

Time spent reading is never time wasted. I have now finished the Carl Hiaasen book.

Tomorrow I'll figure out which book to read next. Maybe the Robin Cook.

Now for a quick run-through of the journals I couldn't access earlier.
