Yes, early to sleep tonight. Morning was grocery shopping, then filling the gas tank ($2.649/gal., and I got just under 25 mpg) and heading home. As usual, I haven't gotten all the stuff I bought inside. Yet. Sometimes it takes a while, which is why I put the cold stuff on the seat and the rest on the floor.

This afternoon I dumped one of the containers of stuff from my last weeding/de-dewberrying, then proceeded to fill it up with the stuff from another patch of ground. And, once again it really shows where I've been working. I have made a firm resolution to do more of this tomorrow.

BadCat helped me out and kept me company. She chased some of the stuff as I dragged the long stringers of dewberries loose, but mostly she just sat near me very companionably.

When I get done, there will be two or three more trees on that side of the house, which will help diffuse the late afternoon sun. I'll keep them low--probably just about rooftop level. I have a couple of small pines, a couple of Chinese tallow, and some wild cherry trees. The last can be kept trimmed as bushes. Right now they're blooming their hearts out. The blooms are quite fragrant when they become full-blown. And the trees look really pretty when they are in bloom.

But--after all today's work it will definitely be an early to bed night.
