My plans for an early start for the weekly grocery shopping hit a bit of a snag when Lady decided she wasn't ready to wake up and therefore curled up tightly on my lap. As it happened, her sleep brain waves overpowered mine and I ended up sleeping about an hour more than I intended.

But, I found a fairly close parking place, and there were still a couple of electric carts waiting for customers.

One of my "absolute must" items was a fresh printer cartridge. The price wasn't too bad--I usually buy a 3-pack at Sam's, but they don't open till 10 AM--and anyway I REALLY needed it. I also got little baggies of nuts and bolts and washers so that, if I can get the old bolt cut off, I can repair the mailbox.

(Don't I have an exciting life?)

After getting home and putting away the perishables I headed for PJ's. Talk about luck--there were cappuccino chocolate chip muffins in the oven. About ten minutes later I had one fresh from the oven.

I started a book by Tess Gerritson this afternoon--Gravity. It appears to be a thriller in the medical and space fields. It will no doubt solve the problem of crummy reruns this evening. So far it's pretty good.

What with one thing and another, you'll notice I didn't quite get around to any yard work. That's number one on tomorrow's agenda.

Stay tuned to see if I can procrastinate that some more, such as getting caught up in a book.
