Standard Summer Weather--Almost

If it was truly standard summer weather there would be afternoon thunderstorms at least half the time.

Not the case this week.

Got some tidying up done this morning, but there's plenty left to "keep me busy" for the weekend (at the very least.)

I did get the money stuff caught up. It is really nice to get utility bills that say DO NOT PAY THIS--it will be taken out of your account on such and such a date. Only the water copmpany doesn't have an auto-deduct option. But they are a small company and each January I can go and vote for the officers if I want to.

A week or so ago I got a bizarre letter from Metro Call telling me that some kind of an overbilling had been corrected and I was entitled to a refund. A check for $0.08 was enclosed. It must have cost them considerably more than the 8 cents to process the thing. But, even tho I don't know why I got it, I put it in the bank along with a couple of regular checks (which I really need to get onto auto-deposit.)

So far it's been an IUD. I haven't seen any visiting animals--yet. No rabbit in the morning. Lady has not brought me any more gifts--I think the mouse front half was definitely a welcome home present.

Tomorrow morning I see the optometrist out at WalMart (she is really good!) and then I think I'll get my toes done. Oh yes--and fill the tank of the Escape. I'm over 300 miles on the last tank and it won't be long till that little light comes on.
