I got up just before 5 AM, did the usual things, and left the house a bit before 6:30. That got me to Xavier about 7:15--plenty of time to do this and that and get my notes in order. And, to chat with a couple of people in the Ladies' Room.

My class was mostly there by 8 AM, and I got going on Egypt. Class was over at 8:50, and I hung around the office for a while before heading back across the lake. Today's major "project" was getting the handicapped tag.

I decided to take the Twin Spans home, since an I-10 exit is quite close to DMV--and the doctor's office, where I had to pick up the signed form. Along the way I did a banking errand.

DMV was pretty efficient and I now have a lifetime hang tag. Well, actually it expires in 4 years, but there is an automatic renewal--and a new picture ID each four years. I lucked out again on the ID--they have a mirror next to the camera so you can arrange your face so that you don't look like a mass murderer. Or maybe you want to look like one--whatever. I don't, and my latest DMV ID is not bad at all.

With the tag in my car, I should be able to find a parking spot at Tulane, within a reasonable walking distance.

I had lunch at Arby's (along the route back home from DMV) and then settled in at PJ's with my latest mind candy book--Working for the Devil, by Lilith Saintcrow. I shall probably finish it this evening.

Last night I suspect there were several masked food thieves. The metal trash can (with the lid bungee-corded on) got knocked over and rolled out onto the lawn. And the bag of dog biscuits had been maneuvered out and the contents eaten. Well, there were a few left, and I put those into the ice chest for tonight.

At any rate, this has been a really long day. But when one is done working about 9 AM there's plenty of time left to do the usual 1001 errands.
