You wonder at the need to get various homophones clear--there, their, they're.

I've found that today's kids are, for the most part, lousy spellers. They don't read enough, so that their brains SEE the different spellings. Most of their input is auditory--and they can't hear any difference.

I have a fun-type sheet (somewhere) with sentences I dictate. Each includes a bunch of homophones.

The knight went out that cold night and rode his horse down the road. The next day he was quite hoarse.


I would welcome other idiotic homophone-filled sentences. One thing--they have to make a certain amount of sense.
