As I (think) I mentioned before, today is part of midterm "break" at Xavier. Thus, an at-home day for me.

Naturally, I did not accomplish anywhere near what I wanted to, but more than I expected to.

I got the main bathroom cleaned, especially the catbox area. I got a huge load of laundry done. It's still in the dryer, except for things that get dried on hangers etc. My body talked itself into a nice nap. I got a barrel of trash up front. With luck, the guys I don't pay will automatically empty it. If they don't, it will be up there for my regular pickup day of Tuesday.

The mailbox was overflowing with small packages. There were two in the main mailbox, and one in each paper tube. I now have about half a dozen books waiting to be read. One that especially intrigues me is Invasion of the Party Snatchers, by Victor Gold.

I let my body have a "sinking spell," then went out to Sam's for ink cartridges for my printer. Dang but those things are expensive. I may try taking the old one to Walgreen for a $10 fill-up.

Naturally, I didn't stop at just one item, but figured that as long as I was there I'd pick up another copy of the dictionary I use for the vocabs. I didn't see it, but I had no trouble persuading myself that I really needed to get the little pocketsize dictionary/thesaurus/ and heaven knows what else. Rationale? If it's worthwhile, I'll recommend it to my class. The whole package was $30, but what the heck--I've got a paycheck coming in. And, I think it also translates into French and Spanish.

Other than the visit to Sam's, it was an IUD.
