That's right--the Saints chalked up a really solid win against the San Francisco 49ers. I was sort of in and out doing a bunch of other stuff so I didn't see it all, but what I saw was impressive.

The other day I spotted a "seek" on the local Free Use network that I figured I could help with. People were living in an old house without central heat and were on the lookout for space heaters and electric blankets.

Well, it's been almost two years since I was able to take advantage of the almost new one on my bed, so I e-mailed the person. Her husband and 12 yr. old son came by this afternoon to collect it. I spent the morning washing and drying it to try to get the majority of the cat hairs out of it. They were very grateful.

There are two FreeCycle/FreeUse networks in this area, and I've relocated a bunch of items that are taking up space. I've met some interesting people along the way.

I had bought a support handle to use on the bathtub, but it took up too much room on my particular tub. I put it on FreeCycle and a Hospice nurse came by to get it for one of her patients. She and her husband are raising their grandson, and once he's outgrown his toys they go up for recycling. They are also home-schooling him, and his "outgrown" school materials also get freecycled.

This afternoon Lady went kabounce, kabounce, and then stood up quite proud of herself--and that she'd caught some kind of a fuzzy brown rodent. I praised her, then I went back inside--I really don't need to know what she did with it.

The game is over (it started at 3:15), I've eaten, and now it's time to grade while I watch TV. Tonight it's the essay answers that need doing.
