Last week I missed two days because of the ear infection. This week I'm feeling fine--but I haven't completed even half a week yet.

And tomorrow will be a scheduling doozy. Class (in N. O.) at 8 AM. Doctor appointment (in Slidell) at 11 AM. Best to allow at least an hour for the commute. And then the appointment with my money manager at 2 PM (in Slidell). Guess there will be time for lunch in there.

And both my appointments called me today to "confirm." I didn't even say hello when I got the call from the dr.'s office--my phone told me who it was so I just said something on the order of Hi--I'll see you tomorrow at 11.

I spent most of the day working with the Choice person's files again. She was very good at saving newspaper articles relating to the matter. And she filed them by year, putting the latest at the back. To top it off, she put the date of each article on it, if it wasn't already there. That makes things SO much easier.

It was only 1991, so I should remember, but I don't recall many details of the massive protests at places that handled abortions. I do recall one time when, for some reason, I was near Planned Parenthood and found a group milling around. I avoided it.

My honorary son once said that he'd gone up to the protestors at a similar "event" and asked for their names and addresses so they could be contacted about adopting an unwanted baby.

Just as I was getting ready to eat this evening I had a phone call from a friend in California telling me her husband had (finally) passed. He's been fighting cancer for a while. (This is the couple we'd been friends with since about 1960.) She's got 5 kids, a bunch of grands, and a couple of great grands. I'm glad she called (although the message wasn't too great.)

Time now to give a little thought to things I ought to be doing this evening, and deciding just how long I can put any of them off. Fortunately, I don't think I have anything very urgent on tap.
