I'll start with the astronomy picture of the day-Space Station over the Ionian Sea. If you're not reading this today (11/27) you may have to search a bit to get back to this one.

This is a great site, and I have it on my "daily" list.

I got my car back about 11 this morning. It had a general almost-70K miles checkup and various fluids got refreshed and changed. I headed out to the WalMart area and added the final fluid--gas. Then I got a few things in WalMart itself (like cat and raccoon food) and headed down I-12 for the quickie way to Arby's, since it was about lunch time.

As I got off the interstate I spotted a Sheriff's Deputy standing in one of those separation triangles. His car was there too, with lights flashing. I have no idea if there was a problem, or if he was checking seat belts and inspection stickers. Whatever--he looked cold--and grumpy.

After I got back home I took a nap, then got to work revising an exam for tomorrow. Now all that's left is to modify the file copy, then run it off and staple it together.

I'm about super-natural mysteried "out." I've got several more in the den, but when I was at WM I spotted a new Nora Roberts. I've read most of her J. D. Robb books but have avoided the others, thinking they were much more on the chest-heaving romance side. This one does NOT sound at all like that. (I started reading it at lunch.) And it doesn't read like that. It's the first of a trilogy, and Mystery Book Club has the second as one of this month's Choices.

Luckily, the car was done early enough and late enough that I didn't feel I had time enough for yard work.

And another IUD is waning.
