I had very little sleep last night, so I stayed home again to catch up on the sleep etc.

By afternoon I was ready to venture out and ran errands. I (as usual) missed the mail carrier, so I swung by the post office. On the way from there to the coffee shop I passed the inspection station and figured I might as well get that out of the way. Each "inspection" took about ten minutes, but I had grabbed the mail and the paper on my way out, so I read about half the paper.

With a bright new inspection sticker on my windshield I then headed to PJ's for a hot chocolate. I had intended to read the last bit of the "male member" book, but I started out with the Carol Gilligan novel and never did get to the other book.

I am really enjoying the novel--there's a lot to it.

And then someone I know spotted me. She's the one who runs the literacy group. She joined me and we chatted for probably two hours, covering a wide variety of topics, including giving birth in the Netherlands.

A most enjoyable afternoon.

The cat-that-might-be-Emma appeared shortly after I got home. She meowed, rubbed, and purred. Lady did a fair job of keeping an eye on her while simultaneously ignoring her. I put out some dry cat food. What she and/or Lady doesn't eat will surely be eaten by the creatures of the forest.

And that's about it for an IUD.
