I managed to persuade my body to get up while it was still dark and I got to work well before 8AM. This meant that I got the primo parking spot right in front of the building! Since the weather seemed to be in a no-rain state I chanced it. When there is a possibility of rain I park on the other side--it's higher. I got some water in my car once (not the engine) by being parked by the curb.

For some reason the cleaning crew spent most of the day in the building--mopping, dusting, polishing. Someone even came into the library and dusted the bookshelves! I am wondering if some Event is going to occur. Graduation is two months away and Homecoming was last fall.

In addition they even put some black stuff into the holes in the street. Now there are humps in the street.

Tomorrow I'll start putting the material into the acid-free file folders, then typing up the inventory for each box/carton. I hope Susan has another collection in mind. I'll need new stuff next week.

For some unknown reason, the non-BellSouth outfit that prints up phone books delivered not one, not two, but THREE copies of their Sunshine Pages to me. They were carefully bagged in plastic, and lined up in a neat row under my mailbox. One went immmediately into the trash. Another will go into work with me so we have a Northshore directory at work, and the third I'll keep. It's not the first time I've gotten multiple copies of the thing, but usually it's not all at once.

Luckily, I carry a couple of tote bags in the car in case I stop at the super-discount grocery that doesn't provide bags. (They sell them though.) Thanks to the bag, I was able to get my mail (which included two books) AND the stupid directories into the car in only one trip. (My house is 150 feet back from the road.)

As you can see, if you don't count the phone books it was an IUD.
