No traffic delays today. Of course, I took the alternate route to get home--the same one I take driving in.

And in the morning I got off to a nice early start and made it to Tulane before 7:45.

Gas is up to about $3.49 a gallon, as of today. Who knows what tomorrow will bring!

It's definitely spring here, and I (again) turned off the furnace. No need to have the furnace fan blowing hot air through the house.

New Orleans managed to survive the mini-summit the other day. At least I didn't get slowed down/stopped so that motorcades could get by.

And the Hornets have taken the first two games in the NBA playoffs.

Back in the 60s, when we used to live here, New Orleans had a pro basketball team--the Jazz. And one of its stars was a kid from LSU--"Pistol" Pete Maravich.

And then Salt Lake City wanted a basketball team and bought the Jazz. They even kept the name.

Several years ago New Orleans got another chance for an NBA team, just when the Charlotte Hornets were being shopped around. New Orleans was building a nice Arena adjacent to the Dome and the Hornets owners made the move.

They didn't do too well at first, but they seem to have finally gotten a coach that can choose players wisely and get them to win.

New Orleans also has an Arena Football team--the VooDoo.

And it once had an ice hockey team. Not NHL but the next level down. The hockey team played in the Arena, but Katrina sort of put an end to that. Or maybe that happened before Katrina.

Can you tell?? It was an IUD.
