This morning was definitely filled with heavy weather. However, we were fortunate that it was "only" heavy weather in the eastern end of the parish. The western end (really sort of northwestern) had tornado warnings, and the parish just north of St. Tammany had tornado damage.

And, of course, there was flash flooding from heavy rains.

My girl cats were not in the house, but they have easy access to the garage, so I don't worry about them. Mr. Humongous started out under the couch, huddled in a back corner, but then decided that he would be safer huddled up against on top of me.

The TV cable went out, which meant that the internet probably did also. I logged on, and apparently had an internet connection--but then the power went off.

I gave up and went out for lunch, reading, and some items at Wal-Mart.

(It had long since stopped raining by then.)

CC is back to coming inside to eat. She has no doubt learned the hard way that food put down for her (and ignored) is food eaten by another cat.

I finished Aunt Dimity - Vampire Hunter. It's "cute," flagrantly G-rated, and about the tenth or so in the Aunt Dimity series. I have no plans to seek out any of the others.

My next mind candy will be the newest Sookie Stackhouse.

The Hornets will be on ESPN (I think) this evening. If they win, they will be western conferrence champs. If they don't win they'll come back to New Orleans for game 7. They have won every home playoff game so far.

Tonight and tomorrow still have "isolated thunderstorms" in the forecast.
