Last night (in the early AM) CC wanted in. It's beside the point that she can come in via the porch. It's much more fun to wake up the human to get the door opened. At least she had the decency to curl up on me.

Eventually I woke up naturally, got a bite to eat, then turned on the TV. I was nicely settled when Lady wanted door service.

She too settled on me.

But her brain waves are obviously quite powerful, because I woke up again about 9:30.

Decided to check the weather map. While the computer warmed up etc. I began to sort through the pile of "stuff" next to it.

And here are some of the gleanings.

"At least the war on the environment is going well."

No idea when or where that came from, but it's true. I seem to recall seeing something on the early news (before the cat put me back to sleep) about a town totally flooded by an adjacent river. Hey--the runoff from the melting ice caps has to go somewhere. I need to look at a map to see if it may ultimately impact this area. I can't recall whether there has been a time when the Bonne Carre spillway has been opened twice in a year.

"Vinegar, tsp. salt, few drops dish soap." Weed killer.

Well, I won't have to worry about the cats chewing the leaves that have been treated.

"zabasearch. com"

Darned if I know--will check it out when I am totally bored.

"seti.com"

THAT one I shall definitely check out. (seti=search for extra-terrestrial intelligence)

"Evacuating? Don't forget solar cell phone charger"

You can buy it from the company web site Solarstyle.com. And it will also charge many MP3 players.

I won't get into the book notes.

And now I should do something constructive, probably in the cleaning department. Or maybe outside.
