Trying to remember how I spent my morning. I seem to recall that it was Something Productive.

Ah yes--doing finances, paying bills, etc. etc. The only phase of that currently not yet done is filing the stuff.

And the mail came with the acknowledgement of the landline cancellation. I had that number thirty two years! For some reason, I still get a dial tone, but that won't last long as I'll put the working phones and the answering machine up on Freecycle. I'll also have to check my bank account to be sure they put the $1.45 refund into it.

By the time I finished that $tuff it was too late to start with yard work, so I settled in at PJ's to have a snack and go over the gorgeous new book that arrived today. It's by Ian Hodder, one of the chief archaeologists currently working on the Catal Huyuk (major Neolityic site) dig in Turkey. And it looks incredibly interesting.

The Amazon seller listed it as Like New, but it's better than that. And I got it at a substantial discount.

I had my timing down pretty well today--after spending the coffee time I headed out to WalMart and got there late enough (for a Saturday afternoon) to get an electric cart.

So, I have taken care of most of my grocery needs for maybe a week. I gave up on finding anything else there, due to their remodeling. Based on the amount of open floor space, there's a bunch of stuff stashed away somewhere that used to be accessible.

Tomorrow I SHALL get going early outside!!
