. . . for early grocery shopping.

My body said "oh goody--it's cooled down to where the cat wants to cuddle."

And those of us with cats all know that when they sleep they send out naps waves that reinforce human sleep.

Bottom line--I slept to the point where breakfast can be called lunch. Not brunch, but lunch.

Part 2:

I debated about when to grocery shop, and settled on late in the afternoon. WalMart is open only till 7 PM so that sort of restricts shopping time.

Saturday afternoon was just as I expected--crowded and (of course) no electric carts.

I'd forgotten that the long lines are much easier to handle when seated, but my line had a really efficient checker.

Best of all--I beat the rain. It had just begun to sprinkle a tiny bit when I was transferring groceries etc. from the cart to the car. Once I was in the car it began raining a bit more seriously. Was that good timing?!

Tomorrow there is an away game, which I shall (of course) watch. I'll have to check when the next home game is. I'm pretty sure it's next week, but can't recall if it's a Sunday or Monday game.

The fall weather has definitely arrived. I'll be using the afghan again tonight, and there will most likely be at least one feline cuddler.

Back to reading the Sara Evans book.
