This morning was the "procedure" to help my hurting back. I had to be at the hospital by 0715.

One major problem with no landline phone is no landline phonebook Yellow Pages. The free throw book only lists paying advertisers in its yellow pages. And there was only one listing for cabs in Slidell. I called that number (about 6 AM) and was told they didn't have drivers at that hour. However, he gave me a number for the cab company I was looking for in the first place. (That number is now stored in my phone.)

So, a cab came to pick me up. A youngish woman (from my perspective) was driving, and I tipped her generously, as I tipped the last before 7 AM driver. She seemed quite pleased.

Everything went fine at the hospital, and they let me go a bit after 10, when YD arrived. Since I'd had no breakfast, I suggested I-HOP.

Did you know that they have chocolate chocolate chip pancakes, served with a huge dollop of whipped cream?

Let's see--pancakes have eggs, whipped cream has milk, and chocolate has serotonin. Definitely high on the nutritious list.

I have the world's absolutely very nicest neighbors. She (an EEG tech) came over when I got home to see how I was and we gabbed a bit some a bunch. She told me Emma (her cat who hunts with Lady) had brought home a trophy.

She asked if there was anything her husband could help me with. I told her the fridge was fine, and it was a good thing I'd called a plumber, considering the problem in finding the shut-off. She then took my weed-whacker with the shield that won't stay on back home with her, and called me a bit later to say her husband had fixed it. The screws were mis-aligned. I thought so, but I don't have the tools (or I don't know where they are) to fix the problem.

Tomorrow I shall not go in to work, but weed-whack as much of the property on their side as possible. That's the least I can do.

My late husband was always helping neighbors, so this is proof of what goes around comes around.

My back feels great, I feel great, the weather is great, and I have greatly overused the word great.

So what.
