He just has to decide where to put it.

Actually, it was better than that.

YD came by with YGD and leftovers, including some soup freshly made by YD's husband.

Then my neighbor came over with some more leftovers. I am now set for several days. Neighbor and I talked about where the gate between the yards might go. To get from one house to another it's about 150 feet down the driveway, another 100 feet to the next yard, then yet another 150 ft. to house #2.

Her husband has a gate already. He just has to decide where to put it.

It will be nice when there is easier access. I'll get my side cleared and trimmed and whatever once the location is settled on. And I have paving stones back near the pool that used to lead to the storage shed. It should be nice. And it is an incentive to me to get at the weeds etc.

I spent most of the morning catching up on the bookkeeping and end of the month stuff. After neighbor left I went to the post office to mail the bills etc. and then stopped at Walgreen's for some necessities.

And that was my IUD.

(I hear somebody going nom nom nom and I suspect that it's Pogo.)

This is a big weekend in New Orleans--it's the Bayou Classic--Grambling vs. Southern, both between football players and also between their absolutely fabulous marching bands. The bands are tonight, and tomorrow is the football game. The past couple of days have been filled with all sorts of seminars etc. This draws crowds from all over the country, and brings in a lot of tourism revenues for the city.

And--like just about all events--visitors also schedule in work on redevelopment. This includes builiding parks, working on houses, etc.

I, however, will watch the Saints game at home.
