For the most part, it was an Incredibly Unremarkable Day.

But let's look for little things.

It was a warm morning when the ground was cool, and there was plenty of water vapor in the air--a sure recipe for fog.

However, I encountered almost none on the way in to work. It was clear for the distance I needed it to be clear crossing the lake. The speed of the road was peppy, and I got to work in under an hour.

Gas at the gas stations in the area with the day laborers was $1.49/gal. It wasn't all that long ago that it was more than a dollar higher.

Who says it's "market pressures?" It will go up again just as quickly as it went down when political circumstances call for it. (And be sure not to throw shoes at Arabs--they take great offense at that.)

I got quite a bit done on my current project at work. Next time I go in I should be starting to put the stuff in the final folders.

When I got home I found that some cat (and I can guess who) had once again left some mouse entrails for me.

Cats usually eat the entire mouse (thank goodness). I don't know why Lady has stopped, unless she thinks she is leaving me a "treat."

Either I left the front door (to the porch) open, or Pogo figured out how to use the cat door. He happily ate the cat crunchies in the hall while I was in my office room.

The raccoons made short work of the stale hard bread last night. Today I have an apple core for whoever gets to it first.

To cap off this IUD I shall watch some TV--most of which is repeats--and attempt to get to bed early.
