(per Holidailies prompt)

Another year has gone by.

This year we had two somewhat significant hurricanes, which did more damage to the fragile wetlands than to the New Orleans area. Texas got blasted more.

Nothing much new on the homefront. I'm still working two or so days a week at the Women's Center library, processing archival materials.

I found a mechanic!!! He's close by and doesn't fuss about my needing a ride home, and he seems quite competent and reasonable.

My menagerie has remained pretty much the same. Lady and CC both let themselves in and out. Lady is quite the huntress and frequently bings me "gifts."

The classic was the day when she was meowing all the way in to where I was so she could show me the rather large (dead) rat she'd caught. It was like a kid saying "look Mommy what I found!"

Pogo (the little possum) continues to come in to eat the cat kibble. And the raccoons wait for their daily dog biscuits to be tossed on the patio. They keep to their part of the agreement (dog biscuits if they leave my trash alone) and sometimes I toss an apple core out too.

YD had a book accepted for publication and it will be out in the early summer. Title is Mark of the Demon and it's a mystery. You can find it listed for preorder on Amazon.

The Saints did lousy this year--they seem to be back to normal.

And that's about it for 2008 activities.
