That's the best way to describe today.

I had a good night's sleep, and was off to WalMart a bit before 8 AM.

There's a Subway near the entrance, and I noticed today that it has a breakfast menu. Guess a fair number of shoppers and WalMart staff make use of it.

I restocked the feline larder for my in-house companions--and their outside "friends."

Unlike a few times this past month, no problems at the checkout. The machines worked and took my plastic. And I had a checker who didn't insist on bagging the cat and dog dry foods. Okay--that means I have to show the door "monitor," but she recognizes me and I have the receipt ready and tell her where they got checked.

When I got home I dozed off a bit and ended up deciding not to go to PJ's for its last day. I hate "funerals" and its closing is somewhat akin to that. For more than ten years it's been a casual social interchange area for me.

Well, Thursday conversation there suggests that some "regulars" will be gravitating to another "comfy" place--the one YD told me about. I may check that out tomorrow.

It was too cool (IMHO) for outdoor work, and once I sat on the couch I had to stay there for about three hours. I had become a bed for the cat who was found wandering around the shelter. She was smart to hang out there. She may have sacrificed her uterus and ovaries, but she was sitting there ready for someone who wanted a CAT--not a kitten--who was all or mostly black. And someone nutty enough to also adopt her playmate.

So, another IUD has gone by. I rather like these three (or four) day weekends.

Perhaps it will be a bit warmer tomorrow and I'll be inclined to attaack the yard.
