Actually, it was borderline on oversleeping, but I figured why rush around and went back to sleep.

When I woke up again I got some stuff done around the house, then went off on some errands. When I finished those it was time for lunch. I wasn't in the mood to head down to Arby's, so I settled for Burger King.

This particular one was here when we returned in 1976, and OD worked there at one point. It's a good location and seems to have a stedy business.

When I got back home I took a bit of a nap.

I just checked the thermometer and it says it's about 103 outside, under the awning. It also says it's only about ten degrees cooler inside.

That's why I decided to go on the computer a bit earlier than usual--there's AC in there.

If it stays really beastly hot I can always sleep in here. And there is a large opening to the "spare" bedroom so that one can also be kept cool.

When it's almost twilight--and the yards is in more shadows, I may do some outdoor work later. Notice the verb may. At the most it would be dumping the stuff from the other day onto the burn pile, and maybe picking up pine cones and tossing theme on the pile too.

And it isn't even officially summer yet.

A little over a month to vacation.
