Home, that is, before a torrential (albeit brief) downpour. I'm not sure if it lasted long enough to cool the air off or just up the humidity.

Prior to returning home, I was checking out Counter Culture--where PJ's used to be. They are finally open and have done a beautiful job redecorating the interior. The owner recognized me from the times I'd stopped to chat.

I had a late lunch/early supper of one of their sandwiches. I brought home a menu so I can study the yogurt stuff for when I just want a snack that sounds healthy.

There weren't many customers, but they haven't advertised yet. I don't think it will take too long to become a "gathering" type of place again.

On my next visit I'll try one of the yogurt goodies.

Earlier in the day I got busy and de-weeded a fairly decent section of "lawn" and driveway. A repeat of that (except in a different place) is on tomorrow's agenda.

Don't I lead an exciting life?

Cat is crowding me--again--but at least her tail is not thrashing around. I'm saving regularly just in case.

While I was having my lupper I began reading one of Steven Saylor's books set in ancient Rome. He does a nice job of interweaving history into the narrative. I looked him up once, and he was either a history major or (possibly) teaches it. At any rate, his settings are pretty accurate.

When I went out this afternoon I picked up (actually, I bought) several goodies for travelling. I also bought laundry detergent. I discovered after my morning weedings that I was completely out of it! I used liquid body wash instead. It was either that or shampoo, and I figured the body wash would lather less than shampoo.

So much for an unemarkable day.
