Just got off the phone with the telephoner for the Blood Center. I figured she was going to remind me that I was elegible to give platelets again, but instead she told me the Center would be closed tomorrow because of the cold.

We've got freeze warnings all over the place. A hard freeze.

Such pipes as are outside are solidly insulated. After living where it once got to 47 below my late husband made sure that we were solidly set up for cold weather--which seldom makes it here, but better to be safe than sorry.

I've left the garage door open so critters can get some shelter. I expect that I'll have two cats on me tonight. At the moment they're within four feet of me (in different directions)curled up sleeping. Spots should be pretty smug about adopting me.

I am so pleased with my renovated computer. You don't realize how much one may have slowed down until you get it rejuvenated.

Back to a book--and mindless TV for background people noise.
