I keep telling myself "today is Tuesday, tomorrow is Wednesday" in hopes that my body will cooperate and wake up at the proper time so that I can get in to work tomorrow while there are still parking spots.

A few minutes ago I learned why Spots had not been ready to cuddle when I went to bed (or whatever) last night. My neighbor called to apologize for trapping him. Of course, if he hadn't been tempted by the canned sardines he wouldn't have gone into the humane trap. (There are a couple of cats wandering around who appear to have no regular home.)

The experience didn't seem to bother him. After all, it included a mighty fine snack.

At least I have my sack lunch all ready for tomorrow.

And I shall double and triple check the various alarm clocks.

Just before I went to bed last night I looked outside and Mama Goldie was helping herself to the raccoon biscuits. I wonder if she'll bring her children when they're big enough. Probably--my yard is a fairly safe and reliable eatery.

Most of today was spent doing "stuff" around the house. And reading U is for Undertow. I'm quite sure I'll finish it tonight.

I still haven't gotten the bedding plants planted. Hope they're still alive.
