This morning was marked by rain. I even took the car down to the paperbox to minimize the walking on wet terrain.

And then there was the TV.

Oh it's not broken--but it might as well be for all the junk on it.

No football (of course), no baseball, no basketball--a sinking spell came over me, so at least I feel well-rested.

The cats had about the same amount of energy, and just recently woke up enough to inquire about food.

OMG!! There's some funny kind of light coming in my window!! We must finally be out of the storm front!

Storms are not good with the oil spill out there.

And the latest attempt to capture the leaking oil also failed.

How about everybody who has a BP station in their lives change brands? Boycott BP, in other words.

Trouble is, it's the station owner who would be hurt--not the oil company. On the other hand, there are probably fewer of them than fishermen and shrimpers etc. who can't pursue their trade--and have a lot of money tied up in their equipment.

It's a really lousy situation, and it's frustrating to see how incredibly s l o w l y the attempts to plug the well are going.

Well, tomorrow is a new week. I'll try to talk with my mechanic again, and see what he says about the possibility of the temp guage being out of whack. (And whether it's worth doing something about it.)

I just hope it goes better than this past one.
