My little striped furry friend is a bit annoyed with me. I keep trapping her flailing tail under the keyboard.

If I don't it (the tail) may hit ESC and everything will disappear. That's happened enough that I keep a REALLY cautious eye out. In fact, the keyboard is almost in my lap--a location that leads to LOTS of typos.

Another hot one today, and I don't think evening showers are in the offing.

Tomorrow I must get an early start and do some stuff outdoors before it gets really oppressive. That way I can spend the afternoon at PJ's or some other air conditioned place.

(Wait a minute--I think I have a slew of appointments this week--better check the datebook.)

I spent the afternoon at PJ's and (of course) stopped at WalMart on the way home. There were a few things I needed, and I really like their salads.

I found a motorized cart right next to an empty handicapped spot, and when I left the store someone spotted me and took the cart as soon as I'd emptied it out. Some times you're just living right.

Girl cat is just about asleep now, in the air conditioned room, stretched out where she gets maximum benefit.

Boy cat is outside in his guard position in a shady spot at the house end of the driveway. He stays there while the raccoons and possums get their "snacks" on the front porch.

Sometimes he comes inside while they're still there, and it's definitely No Big Deal.

I love it. Too bad humans have such problems coexisting with others of the species who might look and/or act a bit different.

So much for "philosophizing."

Happy Fathers' Day to whomever it applies. (And that includes mothers who are also effectively fathers to their kids.)
